WHAT IS IBERMEDIA?
The Latin-American Fund of Help IBERMEDIA was created in November, 1997 on the base of the decisions adopted as the Chiefs' Latin-American Summit of State and of Government celebrated in Daisy, Venezuela, relative to the execution of a program of stimulus to the joint production of Latin-American movies.
The Program forms a part of the audio-visual politics of the Conference of Audio-visual and Cinematographic Authorities of Latin America (CAACI).
IBERMEDIA, across these summons, tries to promote in his members states, and by means of financial helps, the creation of an audio-visual Latin-American space.
As for Distribution and Exhibition:
* To reinforce and to stimulate the sectors of the distribution and exhibition of the audio- visual products in the Latin-American countries.
* To promote his integration in supranational networks of the Latin-American companies of distribution.
* To increase the promotion and to favor the creation of contents for sales and international markets.

¿QUÉ ES IBERMEDIA?
El Fondo Iberoamericano de Ayuda IBERMEDIA fue creado en noviembre de 1997 sobre la base de las decisiones adoptadas por la Cumbre Iberoamericana de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno celebrada en Margarita, Venezuela, relativa a la ejecución de un programa de estímulo a la coproducción de películas iberoamericanas.
El Programa forma parte de la política audiovisual de la Conferencia de Autoridades Audiovisuales y Cinematográficas de Iberoamérica (CAACI).
IBERMEDIA, a través de estas convocatorias, pretende promover en sus Estados miembro, y por medio de ayudas financieras, la creación de un espacio audiovisual iberoamericano.
En cuanto a Distribución y Exhibición:
- Reforzar y estimular los sectores de la distribución y exhibición de los productos audiovisuales en los países iberoamericanos.
- Fomentar su integración en redes supranacionales de las empresas de distribución iberoamericanas.
- Incrementar la promoción y favorecer la creación de contenidos para ventas y mercados internacionales.
